Phenomenological Transparency through Depth of “Inside/Outside” for a Sustainable Architectural Environment

چکیده

The potential relationship between external and internal spaces in the architectural environment of post-pandemic era is emerging as an essential issue. Since early 20th century, issue transparency inside outside architecture has been explored various fields. This study motivated by lack a leading theory about era. First, it revisits notion phenomenal Colin Rowe Robert Slutzky’s influential text on “literal” “phenomenal” transparency. Next, investigates Maurice Merleau-Ponty’s phenomenology for Last, scrutinizes practical possibilities using cases from Sejima Nishizawa Associates (SAANA). It finds that intertwining cognition natural spatial experiential perceptions can create phenomenological experiences. Sustainable may be accomplished when three factors (the visual perception space, perceptions, environment) are incorporated. Further, depth functions medium transparency, material immaterial, literal phenomenal, visible invisible. There tremendous to conduct pilot studies based this study, re-evaluate with ideas.

A phenomenological framework for describing architectural experience

Rasmussen’s Experiencing Architecture, first published in 1962, remains the essential introduction for students of architecture. It launches the trajectory along which the interested novice acquires the specifically architectural patterns of thought and language that enable him or her to analyse extant and formulate new designs. Such accounts of architectural experience direct our attention to ...

Seeing depth coherence and transparency.

Gratings with different disparities are sometimes seen as transparent surfaces, each with a distinct depth, when they are superimposed, and sometimes they are seen as a coherent plaid confined to a single depth plane--stereo analogs of transparent and coherent motion. Briefly presented sinusoidal gratings of similar spatial frequencies are seen to cohere in depth. The resulting plaid generally ...

Monocular transparency generates quantitative depth

Monocular zones adjacent to depth steps can create an impression of depth in the absence of binocular disparity. However, the magnitude of depth is not specified. We designed a stereogram that provides information about depth magnitude but which has no disparity. The effect depends on transparency rather than occlusion. For most subjects, depth magnitude produced by monocular transparency was s...
